Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 15: Seeking equal treatments for all, the retirees from Jammu & Kashmir Board for Muslim Specified Waqfs urged Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and Vice Chairperson of the Board to disengage those working in Waqfs Board despite crossing age limit fixed for employees. Hailing Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, who is also chairperson of the Board, for appointing Nizamuddin Bhat, a veteran Journalist, Advocate and senior politicians, as Vice Chairperson of Waqf Board, the retirees said the byelaws of the Boards should not be violated to accommodate blue eyed. "Since, it is religious body, we expect that no step motherly treatment is meted out any body, we the retirees are unable to feed our families", they said and added that with a small amount given us at time of retirement is almost exhausted, now we find it difficult to meet our minimum needs. Appreciating, the VC, they said that he is holding meeting with Board's tenants to implement revised rent. "We request the VC that derailed internal system also needs to be overhauled", they said and added that presently several blue eyed of former VC, despite being 63 years old, are continuing in the Board. "In-charge Shrines, Care taker of Hazratbal Shrine, Supervisor gardens (Bagahat) and an Engineer have crossed 63 years age and are continuing in the Board, despite the fact the Board has fixed 58 years as retirement age for all its officials", they said. |
