Govt reallocates departments to Law Officers

Srinagar, Feb 15: The Government has ordered reallocation of Departments to the Advocate General, Senior Additional Advocates General and Additional Advocates General.
According to the order issued by the Law Secretary, Abdul Majid Bhat, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department has been allocated to Advocate General, Jahangir Iqbal Ganai.
As per the said order for Srinagar wing of the High Court the key departments including Forest Ecology & Environment, Housing & Urban Development, Architect Organization and Town Planning Organization have been allocated to Additional Advocate General, Ms AasifaPadroo. The Estates Department has been allocated to Senior Additional Advocate General, Bashir Ahmad Dar.
Information Department has been allocated to Majid Aftab Wani, Additional Advocate General.
For Jammu wing of the High Court, Tribal Affairs Department has been allocated to Senior Additional Advocate General, Seema Khajuria, Information Technology Department has been allocated to Sr Additional Advocate General, H A Sidiqui, and Animal Husbandry Department has been allocated to Amit Chopra, Government Advocate. In another order, the Law Department has allocated Agriculture Production, Cooperative, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Labour & Employment and Ladakh Affairs Department to Ms Puja Choudhary, Additional Advocate General before Supreme Court.
The new allocation of departments will be in addition to the Departments already in possession of these Government Counsels.
