UDHAMPUR, Feb 16: Wreath laying ceremony of the traffic cop, who was killed today while he was performing his duty at Thanda Paddar Bye-Pass here when a speeding truck crushed him.
After the autopsy got conducted, the police took his mortal remains to the District Police Line (DPL) Udhampur, where a wreath lying ceremony was held to pay homage to the departed cop.
Director General of Police (DGP) Prisons, Dilbagh Singh, SSP Udhampur Rayeez Mohammad Bhat, ASP Udhampur and other senior officers attended the ceremony and paid their homage to the deceased traffic cop Nazir Ahmed.
DG Prisons Dilbagh Singh said that the district police will investigate the incident and guilty will be punished. He said that the ex-gratia relief will also be given to the family of the deceased traffic cop. |
