PDP taking advantage of 'power hungry' BJP ministers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 16: Taking benefits of "hunger for power, political illiteracy and infighting" among BJP ministers, PDP leadership is pursuing its pro-Kashmir centric agenda in the government. All important decisions regarding functioning of the government are taken unilaterally by PDP ministers and none of the BJP ministers are taken into confidence on important issues. Credible sources said that except few transfers BJP ministers are themselves are also not interested in involving themselves in policy decision because their priority seems to the flourishing "transfers and postings" industry in J&K. "Most of the bill introduced and passed in the recently held budget session of the Assembly were prepared without consulting BJP ministers", sources revealed and disclosed that all the BJP ministers were not aware of the Bills passed in the Assembly. Sources said that instead of devising strategies on important issues to pursue party's agenda BJP ministers in the coalition government are more concerned about furthering their own personal agendas. What to say of pursuing party's agenda in the government, some of the BJP ministers are not in talking terms with each other. PDP leadership is taking benefit of lack of vision among BJP ministers. PDP leadership is very much aware that most of the BJP ministers are least concerned about ideology of the party so many policy decisions were taken without taking them on boards. A BJP leader, on the condition of anonmity, said it is result of the lack of comment of ministers towards party's ideology that Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has favoured dialogue with Pakistan. |
