About 60,383 new tax payers have been added in State: Chief Commissioner IT | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 16: The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Amritsar Narender Singh during his two days visit to J&K today conducted a review meeting of Income Tax officials at Jammu office and met the representatives of the Bar Association and Chartered Accountants Association of J&K. During the interaction Narender Singh, emphasized upon the latest Budget collection of Rs 429.40 Cr. against Budget target Rs 522.45 Cr., an achievement of 82%. About 60,383 new tax payers have been added in J&K charge during the year, especially post demonetization. During the interaction emphasis was laid upon Swach Bharat Abhiyan widening of Tax bases and recovery of demand through cooperation of representatives. Various income Tax provisions were explained including Tax payers duties to pay Advance Tax and pending tax demands for effective progress of the nation's economic health. Various queries raised by the participants were resolved. |
