Poonch, Feb 16: Under the so-called neat and clean governance the Tourism Department in Poonch is allegedly embezzled crore of rupees in the name of development. According to the sources from border district Poonch, a transfered Junior Engineer is signaturing and releasing bills in back date. Although the JE serving in Badarwah of Doda district, but is misusing his powers in Poonch now a days. Official sources informed early times that more than three crore rupees has been released in the name of restoration of Poonch fort but where it has been invested is to be investigated through vigilance organization.
Locals further informed that tourism department Poonch is showing their attitude and allotted tenders by their own choice to a blue eyed contractor. Nowadays tourism department has allotted a restoration work of Tourists Reception Center (TRC) to the same blue eyed contractor whereas other contractors fraternity has expressed their strong resentment over it and asked, "is there not any other contractor"?. They have appealed to Minister for Tourism Tassaduq Mufti to conduct an inquiry into the matter and take strict action against negligent and careless officials. |
