EJAC demands withdrawal of SRO 202 redressal of pay anomalies as agreed | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 16: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) said that the SRO 202 regarding newly appointed employees after 2010 is an injustice and brazen disparity with the poor non-gazetted and Class-IV employees of the state who are putting their sweat and blood for resolving the problem for common people even in difficult situation. In a press statement issued today, the JCC leader and president EJAC, Abdul Qayoom Wani said that this SRO has created confusion among the newly appointed employees in particular and the highly educated youth in general. Wani said that their SRO is quite contrary to the equal work, equal wages law and demanded immediate revocation of this anti-employee law. Wani also took a serious note of not redressing the issue of pay anomalies cases and expressed his serious resentment in resolving pay anomalies cases on influence and favouritism basis. On the one side, the government had announced on the floor of the Assembly that all pending genuine pay anomalies cases would be redressed before implementation of 7th pay commission and on the other side Finance Department has issued SRO regarding redressal of pay anomalies of employees of Fire Services vide Govt order No HOME-247 of 2018 Dated: 15-02-2018. Wani said that we are not against the redressal of pay anomalies of these employees but ignoring the pay anomalies of other departments becomes a cause of concern for every employee which will not be tolerated if not stopped at once. |
