NCC unit of GCW Udhampur organises plantation drive

Udhampur, Feb 16: NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers of GCW Udhampur organized plantation drive on the theme "Each one, Plant One" in the college premises. The motive of this programme was to inform the students and staff about the importance of plants in saving ecology.
Dr. Chander Shekhar, Principal, GCW Udhampur was the chief guest and also planted an Agel (Bhail-Patra) sapling on this occasion. In his address, he exhorted upon the students to do best to save our environment by planting more tree in and also outside the house and also take care of them.
Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, Prof. Ashni Devi, Prof. Kewal Kumar, and Prof. B.P. Singh and Sudesh Bhagat were also a part to plant sapling of Neem, Orange, Lemon, Bail Patra, etc for conservation of nature.
They gifted sapling to the Principal and have promised to gift a tree to anyone to continue this tradition. NSS Programme Officer Prof. Sanjay Kumar, Prof. Sumita Rao and Prof. Poonam Rajput (ANO's) were also present there.
