Jammu, Mar 4: Disconcerted by the large scale irregularities in the past by the Ex- Director School Education Jammu besides accusing him of issuing unscrupulous recognition orders in favour of various schools after his retirement, Gagan Pratap Singh State Secretary JKNPP demanded immediate arrest of the ex- Director Ravinder Singh for his involvement in the biggest scam in Education department in 4 years.
He accused the officer for illegally conferring post retirement recognition orders to schools for vested interests, his active role in wholesale illicit transfers and attachments of Teachers and Masters besides involvement in HRA scam worth crores during his tenure on monetary and extraneous considerations. He was addressing a press conference in Jammu today. Showing the copies of the fraudulent orders to the media, Gagan Pratap Singh cornered the DSEJ and pulled up ex- Director School Education for according illegal sanctions of recognition in favour of five private schools to run the classes upto 8th class till March 2023 that too three days after his retirement.
He said the tentacles of corruption had consumed the Education department in the State to an extent which could be gauged by the overt involvement of the ex- director in wrong doings of all sorts after attaining superannuation. He further divulged that Ravinder Singh relinquished his charge as Director School Education on 18th February this year and wondered that how a retired officer could accord formal approvals to favour various private schools while in office. |
