AB Sharma Early Times Report SunderbanI, Mar 4: Life in Sunderbani has come to standstill, following protest demonstration by locals in support of district status. Amid protests and strikes, which entered day 15, students, healthcare and trade has suffered huge losses. According to reports, the student community has to travel several kilometres to reach their respective examination centres, which is causing mental pressure on them. Similar situation is of people associated with medical field and health department. The people from far flung areas are struggling to reach health center's in absence of transportation. Students of the area lamented that they are facing multi-pronged pressure amid their exams. "We are undergoing examinations, but absence of transportation we have to walk distances to reach examination centre," said couple of students, who rued untimely protests. The market is also facing losses in absence of customers and since last over 15 days shutters are down and traders community if affected. It is pertinent to mention here that people of Sunderbani and Nowshera are staging protest demonstration, seeking district status for their respective areas, citing underdevelopment as the reason for this resentment. |
