| Choti Harni reels under darkness for 2 months | | | MS Nazki

Poonch, Mar 3: The people of Choti Harni have been reeling under total darkness for the last two months as the transformer of the area is awaiting repairs after it developed a snag.
Locals said some two months ago the PDD transformer of the choti Harni developed some technical snag and it was removed for repairing, but till date neither the transformer was repaired nor any arrangement of power supply to the area was made by the department . Moreover, Gultha and lei Bhatidar villages were also affected due to non-availability of the area, they added.
The locals have been making rounds of the offices of JE and AEE but their plea had not been heard so far. They alleged adding being a border village power supply to the area was to be restored essentially but due to lackadaisical approach of he PDD people have been suffering at the hands of the department.
In Balakote too, for the last 25 hours the power supply to the area was snapped due inclement weather.
The restoration work by the department failed to be completed source said, adding the department seems to be in no mood to redress the problems of the locals.
People have urged the XEn PDD Poonch and Chief Engineer PDD Jammu to take cognizance of the matter. |
