Jammu, Mar 4: Sarva Shakti Sewa Santha on Saturday evening organized grand Chandi Mata Jagran at Hari Niwas place, first of its kind in Jammu wherein thousands of people from different parts of the state including former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, Speaker J&K Assembly Kavinder Gupta, BJP State President Sat Paul Sharma, Daleep Parihar, Minister Chowdhary Lal Singh, Sunil Sharma, former Minister Chow-dhary Sukhnanadan, MLC Jugal Vikram Randhawa, MLA Davinder Singh Rana, IGP Jammu S D Singh Jamwal, Ranjeet Kalra and several others participated. The Jagran started with Bhog followed by grand Arti at around 8.30 PM on Saturday and continued till 6 Am Sunday morning. During 10 hour long Jagran, the renowned singers Sewa Ram, Daljeet Singh Rathore, Surinder Manhas, Naveen Punjabi, Komal Sharma, Suraj Singh Chib, Nek Chand Diman, Varsha Jamwal, Marina Manhas, Shilvi Jain, Neeru Rana.
and others sung dozens of Bajan praising Maa Chandi and sought blessings for the devotees.
Speaking on this occasion Mukhya Pujari of Mata Vaishnu Shri Darshan Ji threw light on the spirituality and life of Mata Chandi followed by his sermons on role of religion in promoting peace and communal harmony.
