Samba, Mar 14: Ghagwal Police foiled bovine smuggling bid and rescued twelve cattle from the truck here. According to the Police sources, as per reliable information, a team of Ghagwal Police station headed by Inspector Amit Singh Andotra, SHO Ghagwal Police station laid a Nakka on Jammu Pathankot National Highway near Tapyal under the jurisdiction of Ghagwal Police station. During Nakka Checking, a truck bearing registration No JK02AC-2576 coming from Kathua side, Police gave a stop signal to the truck instead of stopping the driver accelerated his vehicle and fled from spot. However, the police party chased the vehicle near Jatwal. During search Police, party found twelve cattle laden in it, tied with ropes, and illegally transported. In this regard, a case FIR No 49/2018 U/s 188 RPC 2/3 PCA Act 177,184 MV Act registered in Ghagwal Police station. |
