Shocker! BJP leaders provided land for Rohingya settlement in Jammu

Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 14: The fake promises of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) to act against illegal immigrants have been exposed after name of its leaders surfaced in providing lands for the settlement of Rohingyas in Jammu.
According to highly placed sources, the youth who assaulted media persons at Rohingya concentrated Bhatindi belongs to the family of a BJP leader.
"Mother of the accused youth, who assaulted media persons and also used abusive language at Bathindi area, is office bearer of Mahila Morcha of BJP and joined the BJP in 2013," said sources, adding that the party is also reluctant to take action against the illegal immigrants because they cannot afford to offend their Mahila Morcha office bearer, who had provided land for settlement to Rohingyas.
"It is the only reason BJP is hesitant to take any action against the Rohingyas who are illegally settled in Bathindi area", said a source.
It is pertinent to mention here that as per order no 510 GAD of 2017 dated 24-4-2017 government constituted a group of ministers to look into the issue of Rohingyas.
The order reads that the group of Ministers would examine all relevant aspects relating to the illegal immigrants from Myanmar and Bangladesh and furnish appropriate recommendations within period of two months.
But till date no substantive action has been taken against them and the reason is that BJP leadership is itself sponsoring their settlement.
However the advocate Hunar Gupta who filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the High Court alleged that the government has not acted till date. ''It is unfortunate that this committee never met after 2017 after its constitution forget it recommending anything about deportation of illegal foreign nationals from sensitive border state {Jammu Region} having estranged relationship with its neighboring country Pakistan'', said Hunar.
Meanwhile, police have granted 5- day remand of two arrested youth by the court.
Pertinently, two TV news channels' crew, including their reporters, were attacked by unidentified people in the Bathindi area, having huge population of Rohingyas, here on Tuesday while they were on their assignments, police said.
Video of the alleged attack went viral on the social media and police arrested two youth in this connection.
Police said that a case under FIR No. 77/2018 under sections 341, 323, 382/34 of RPC has been registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and two accused namely Muhammad Ashraf and Sher Muhammad both residents of Bathindi have been arrested on the basis of initial investigation while further investigation of the case is going on.
