Mega Health Camp organized by CGPWA evokes great response

JAMMU, Mar 14: The one day free Mega Health Camp organised today by the Central Govt Pensioners' Welfare Association, J&K (CGPWA) in collaboration with CGHS Wellness Centre and Medanta- "The Medicity" Hospital Gurgaon at Day Care Centre, Exhibition Ground here evoked good response. More than 200 Pensioners and Senior Citizens took benefit of the free specialized consultation of visiting Doctors of Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon.
Super specialists of Medanta who specially flew in today for the camp included Cardiologist Dr. Vijay Kohli, Sr. Consultant Medical Oncology, Dr. Manoj Tayal, Specialist in Internal Medicine Dr. Arvind Sharma and Pain Management Consultant Dr. Monika Kudyar. Some aged persons were brought in wheel chair also for the specialized consultation.
Earlier, the President of the CGPWA, S. S. Wazir formally inaugurated the Camp. Other senior members of the Association including General Secretary, J. K. Vaid Vice President, B. K Raina, Treasurer H N Raina, Prem Gupta, K B Jandial, both Executive Members, In-charge of the CGHS Wellness Centre, Dr. Kuljeet Kour, Dr. Kamaljeet Singh, Medical officer were also present.
In addition, people availed free of cost other facilities of BP Checkup, Sugar test, total cholesterol, ECG & Cardiac-Echo, PFT and BMD.
Medanta- "The Medicity" Hospital Gurgaon is one of the CGHS empanelled Hospitals where Central Govt Pensioners are getting cashless facility at the hospital on reference from the In-charge Jammu CGHS Wellness Centre. It has also been agreed by the Medanta authorities to provide free of cost OPD facilities to the CGHS card holders at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The CGPWA is engaged in social charitable work like free health camps etc. Today's camp was the second multi- specialty Health Camp being organized in three months to benefit Pensioners and other senior citizens.
