| Stolen property worth Rs one lakh recovered within 24 hours | | |

Banihal, Mar 18: Banihal police today claimed to have recovered stolen property worth Rs one lakh and arrested the thief. Police spokesman said that on March 16 a written complaint was given by one headmaster High School Buzlaa Kharie to the effect that computer equipments including CPUs, Monitors, Key Boards etc from the computer laboratory of the school has been stolen by someone on the intervening night of March 16th/17th March. On the receipt of this complaint a case under FIR no31/2018 under sections 457/380 was registered and investigation taken up.
"During investigation several suspects were rounded up and during sustained investigation one of the suspect namely Mushtaq Ahmed of Buzla Banihal broke down and confessed that he has committed the crime and on his disclosure all the stolen items including CPUs, two keyboards, four monitors (dell), 4 Service fax and various other items including wires boards etc were recovered", said police spokesman. The arrest and recoveries were made by Inspector Aejaz Wani, SHO Banihal and SI Wasim Mehraj in-charge police post Khari under the supervision of SSP Ramban Mohan Lal and Additional SP Mushtaq Chowdhary. |
