| PAF flays Govt for non distribution of rice among BPL families | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Mar 18: President Public Awareness Front Kishtwar, Shakir Sidiqui today expressed resentment and displeasure on the functioning of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department in the state and in general in District Kishtwar in particular.
Sidiqui said that APL consumers of District Kishtwar have not been supplied flour form the last 3-4 months while BPL consumers have been deprived of rice form 3 months.
In a press statement issued here today, Sidiqui said that flour supplied to BPL category is of very substandard quality having higher proportion of bran/husk in it which caused huge financial loss to the people.
He has urged upon Minister of Food, Supplies and Consumer Affairs ,Choudhary Zulfikar to intervene into the matter personally so that people don't suffer any longer.
He also urged AD Food Kishtwar to project the issues before the higher authorities and supply the rice and flour among the inhabitants of people of Kishtwar without any further delay. |
