KPS organises 105th Navreh Samaroh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 18: Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) today organized 105th Navreh Samaroh with gaiety and fervor, wherein Sat Sharma, (CA) MLA Jammu West was the Chief Guest. SL Bagati, General secretary of KP Sabha read the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of Sabha which involved assistance to the poor students, widows, weaker sections of the community, assistance for the promotion of sports to the students, medical assistance to the needy persons, construction programme of Old Age Home, Global Conference, etc. Later K P Sabha President, KK Khosa briefed over 105 years of existence of Sabha and aim for which Sabha was framed and its role in Jammu ethos and culture. He also emphasized the role of Sabha since 1990 {exodus year} and the contribution towards the displaced community particularly in the field of education. He informed the august audience that the construction programme of Home for Aged is likely to be completed soon. He reminded that Temples & Shrines Bill should be passed as early as possible as community religious property is being encroached upon and looted. Pyare Lal Hatash gave account of Kashmiri Pandits contribution to Indian culture apart from highlights of Navreh heritage. |
