State Sports council flags off Wrestling Contingent for Nationals 3/18/2018 10:32:03 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 18: A strong wrestling contingent comprising of sub junior wrestlers,coach,manager and Technical officials under the aiges of Jammu Kashmir Wrestling Association recognised and sponsored by j&k State sports council left Jammu for participation in 37th jr (boys) Free Style, Greco Roman Style and 21th Female sub jr National Wrestling Championship to be held at Balwade Pune Maharashtra wef 12 to15, February 2018, here today. Choudhary Prem Nath NIS Wrestling Coach and Senior Vice-president of the association said, the Hon'ble High Court in its decision has ordered the Maharashtra Wrestling Association (Organisers) vis a vis Wrestling Federation of India including IOA and Secretary Ministry of Sports New Delhi to allow the said players in National Championship keeping in view the career of budding wrestlers of the state which is at stake as some derecognised and defaulter body is interfering in the smooth functioning of newly elected Jammu and Kashmir wrestling association recognised and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council headed by its President Choudhary Lal Singh and Rakesh Khajuria as General Secretary. RK Maini Treasurer said WFI shall permit the participants in the light of Hon'ble High Court orders so as to give an ultimate exit to the defaulters. AR Ahangar President Anantnag wrestling association said nepotism in wrestling should end now, WFI should comply the court orders for uniform implementation of sports code giving a big blow to sports mafia. Earlier, the screening of the team was held at Judo Hall indoor complex MA Stadium jammu under the supervision of Abdul Qayoom Chief Sports Officer Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council ,Ravi Singh Divisional Sports Officer Jammu in presence of Rakesh Khajuria General Secretary,RK Maini Treasurer and Choudhary Prem Nath Senior Vice President of the Jammu Kashmir Wrestling Association.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
