Enraged Indian Government issues threat to Pakistan | | | The BJP led NDA Government seems to be upset over the way TDP has quit the NDA even after the centre has been providing funds for Andhra. And the same ruling TDP has plans of moving a vote of no-confidence in the Government led by Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha. And the Congress is been quite happy with these developments and believes that the fall of Modi led Government is imminent. And that is the reason for the Congress President, Rahul Gandhi, to claim that the Congress alone can bring the nation out of its fatigue which Modi has brought on the country by his wrong policies. These developments seem to have upset the BJP led NDA Government otherwise a seasoned Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh should have not expressed anger over the machinations of Pakistan by making it loud and clear that no power in the world could take Kashmir away from India and if need be forces could cross border to protect the country's territorial integrity. "Kashmir is, was and will be ours always. No one can take it from us," Rajnath said, He praised the Indian Army for its valour to secure the country and warned Pakistan, saying, "We not only secure India within but can also cross the border to protect the country, if needed. No one should take it otherwise."It is a warning to Pakistan because once the troops from India cross the border it may end in a war, war between two nuclear nations. The results can be simply disastrous and for that India could be held responsible. Rajnath Singh made a significant suggestion to Pakistan in the light of India seeking good ties with Pakistan, provided it stopped aiding terrorists."Now the US is condemning Pakistan. I don't know what happened to Pakistan. We want good relations with Pakistan but it has refused to accept our offer of friendship."Pakistan is giving legitimacy to the UN-designated terrorist Hafiz Saeed who is establishing a political party there and wants to contest elections."The Minister said the government was keen on finding a permanent solution to the Kashmir problem and was open to speaking to anyone. Well good intentions on Modi led Government cannot be doubted because it appointed a central interlocutor, Dineshwar Sharma, to hold talks with mainstream political leaders, traders, industrialists, students and above all the separatists. But it is unfortunate that Kashmiri separatists have rejected offer of talks from Sharma. And the conglomerate of the hardliners, led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani, has announced that he and his associates were not willing to hold talks with Sharma. Has Geelani put on added political weight that he expects Prime Minister, Narinder Modi, to come to Srinagar and hold talks with him and other separatists ? Or does he want Modi to appoint a committee of Ministers to open the channels of dialogue with the separatists.? Whatever he says and believes one thing is certain that he and other separatists are guided by Pakistan and so long Islamabad is not invited to talks Pakistan will not allow separatists to accept any offer of talks whether from the central Government or from the interlocutor. If the Home Minister is enraged it over the way Pakistani troops continue to resort to ceasefire violations in which groups of militants are pushed into Jammu and Kashmir. Yes, India has deployed troops on the LOC and the BSF on the IB to foil infiltration bids. But supporters of Pakistan, who live in Kashmir, are engaged in indoctrinating the youth, especially the educated youth who are recruited in different militant outfits. And following threats from Rajnath Singh Pakistan has to learn to behave properly with its neighbour that wants to promote cordial ties and therein lies the survival of Pakistan. |
