| Kashmiri Migrant Relief Holders, overaged youth call on Relief Minister | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 21: A delegation of Kashmiri Migrant Relief Holders and overaged youth today met Minister for Relief, Rehabilitation & Disaster management Javed Mustafa Mir at his office chambers.
The delegation apprised him of burring issues of the averaged youth faced by them from last 28 years for their survival. The delegation apprised minster with the fact that a meager sustainable amount of Rs 83 per day per soul is provided to a relief holder as of date. Which should be enhanced to Rs 300 per day per soul in order to enable us to provide education to our children, run our household and come out of the vicious cycle of perennial debts?
Delegation also enlightened the concerned minster about the apathy of the successive state as well center governments toward the overaged unemployed KP youths who from last 28 years of migration are running from pillar to post to raise their issues of survival. Relief Holders and overaged youth demanded from every successive state as well center Govt to design a comprehensive economic package for their survival but were completely ignored from every corner for last 28 years. The delegation also requested to concerned minister to roll out a group health insurance scheme for all the relief holders so that the unseen health emergencies may be taken care of and hapless migrant families are not left to the mercy of god.
The minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that all the issues pertaining to the relief holders and overaged youth will be addressed at the earliest possible time on priority basis. |
