Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 21: With the onset of Spring in Kashmir intelligence agencies have sounded a high alert about the possibility of coming summer being hot as terrorists and their handlers are planning to set the Valley on fire.
Sources told Early Times that terrorists are waiting on the launching pads. "Terrorists are waiting for the snow to melt and passes to open. Due to less snowfall this year there is every possibility about infiltration starting early this year," they added.
Army engaged a group of newly infiltrated seven terrorists at Halmatpora village in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Monday. "The gunfight is on. Till the last reports came in four terrorists had been eliminated," said a source.
He said, "In coming days we can expect more such bids from all the sides as Pakistan has decided to intensify the proxy war which we have been fighting in Jammu and Kashmir since 1990."
A source said, "Local terrorists operating in the Valley would have been eliminated by now. But security forces are being pressurized to be soft towards them. Even the local terrorists could pose threat in coming summer months."
He said, "Politicians should stop playing politics over the security issues and should allow the security forces to carry on with their jobs."
An official said, "Terrorists have changed their strategy. They look for soft targets and try their best to flee after carrying out the attack. Sometimes they are trapped and on some occasions they manage to flee after inflicting damage."
He said, "We are well aware about the fact that Pakistan army is hand in glove with the terrorists organizations operating in J&K. They are trying their best to recreate nineties like situation in Kashmir. There are even inputs that in coming days terrorists may carry out grenade attacks at public places to create fear and provoke security forces to retaliate."
A source said that besides activating the terrorist Pakistan is also trying its best to take a few second rung separatists on board to trigger unrest in Kashmir. "All the preparations have been made to set Kashmir on fire."
An official said, "We are preparing ourselves to deal with the situation as we know it very well that situation can take an ugly turn at any point of time. The Operation All Out is on. We have succeeded in making many areas in South Kashmir terrorism free and hope in coming days we will wipe out the remaining terrorists also. Surrender offer is open to them but if they attack us they will get killed."
