Thusoo family's lone bread winner attains martyrdom at Halmatpora-Kupwara | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 21: Only bread earner of Thusoo family today attained martyrdom while fighting with militants in Kupwara's Halmatpora in Kashmir. Selection Grade constable Deepak Thusoo son of Darki Nath of village Karihama of Kupwara district, presently residing at block no 176 flat no. 21 lane no 27 Jagti Township Nagrota along with another police cop and two army jawans attained martyrdom during a gun battle with militants in Kupwara's Halmatpora in Kashmir. Deepak was the only bread earner in his family and is survived by his wife and two minor children and widow mother. He was son of police cop who died of cardiac arrest during training of Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in Kashmir. Body of the martyr would reach his house on Thursday. "Four militants were killed on Tuesday when joint team of the Army's 41 Rashtriya Rifles and SOG launched the operation following inputs about the movement of seven foreign terrorists in the area of Halmatpora. On Tuesday in an ongoing fierce gunfight at Halmatpora, so far four militants have been killed," said a police officer adding that body of the fifth terrorist was recovered today. |
