RPPs hold protest over pay anomaly

Vijaypur, Mar 21: The retired Police Pensioners today held protest against pay anomaly here today.
Address a protest rally, the retired Police Personnel said that the effect of Govt. Order No. 229 dated 17-10-2014 regarding pay anomaly is being given prospectively, which means from the date of order. Whereas, the effect should have been given from the year 1996 when 5 pay commissions was implemented throughout the State but only this Police Department was left out.
Some of them have even expired surviving strugglers should get the benefits of various pay anomaly committees have been formed and they have given their opinions and approvals from time to time.
The details of such committees are as under the first pay anomaly committee was formed in the year Oct. 2009 whose G.O. No 1387 GAD dated 8 Oct. 2009 based on its recommendations, orders were issued vide G.D. No 296 F dated 2 Dec. 2010 for removal of pay anomaly The second committee was constituted on 15 Sept. 2011 Govt. revived pay anomaly committee vide) order No. 67 GAD of 2012 dated January, 2012 to once again look into the pay anomaly.
This file is not found in Secretariat Office Now, for the third time, again 21 April, 2016, G.O. No. 420 GAD of 2016 is formed to look into pay We would like to mention here that like two previous occasions of committees, this third anomaly, committee should not be time killing. As such we went to know the time frame, since this is lingering on from last 20 years.
The Finance department sought clarification from the Director General of Police regarding the pa anomalies to retiree ASIs HMcS. office of the Director General of Police informed about th amount 5,93,25000.00 vide office letter No. Est-G-21/2014/10-03-I4-15, Dated 17/2/2016 addressed to Principal Secretary Home Dept. J&K. Jammu.
The said amount may very kindly be released in favour when the doctors in our Police hospitals go on leave, there should be an immediate officiating doctor for attending the patients. In the absence of the regular doctor the patients have to suffer.
To avoid the inconvenience of senior citizen patients and others, our own department doctors should be appointed so that when the regular doctors go on leave, the officiating doctors attend the patients. Promotion list of Head Constable should be taken out for which already vacancies are there.
Those who are nearing retirement will get the benefit of this list if this is delayed those who are nearing will deprived of the benefit. District President Samba Reghubir Singh, Kamail Singh, Mohinder Singh, Uttam Singh, Ashok Kumar Mohd Sharief, Hari Singh. Balwant Singh, Gharu Ram, Shamsher Singh, Som Rai. Girdhari Lal Jagdish Raj Sharma and all members of Samba District participated in the protest.
