Kaar-e-Najaar badast-e-Gilkaar | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 21: The secretary to the government, Horticulture Department has put all the pesticide, hosrticulture oil manfacturing companies on notice. They have been directed to obtain the permission of the Diretorate of Horticulture before issuing advertisements to sell their respective products. The notice, it seems, has been issued in good faith to protect the farmers and their orchards. But, who will guaranttee quality of such products. In Jammu Kashmir a highly technical job is entrusted to a simple graduate who passes an examination and becomes an expert. The government should have first framed a panel/board of experts to determine the quality of the products. In absence of such an arrangement, a highly non-technical staff shall be perfoming a job without any of which they no expertise. The concerned betetr take note. |
