| Brewing resentment against BJP | | | R.B. Suri
During his recent visit to Jammu and Srinagar a fortnight ago, Ram Madhav All India General Secretary of BJP, while addressing the media stated that Jammuites don't have any other option except BJP. This speaks of the 'PROUD' which has in his mind . This is the sorry state of affairs with the BJP stalwarts. He should have not said like this. This reflects the minds of the Sanghis who always exploited the sentiments of the Jammuites in the past. Pride hath a fall. A Hare and the Tortoise is the story which is very relevant on this score. Ram Madhav has touched the feelings of the Jammuites very much. This is sort of a negative motivation. There are various characteristics of the Human beings e.g, Every body thinks, Every body sees, Every body smells, Every body walks, Every body needs praise, Every body thinks etc.etc. minus exceptions are always there for example. A blind can't see , A layman can't walk, A Lalla can't think etc. etc. Further Illustration is that the feelings are considered to be the Atom and Hydrogen bombs which can explode at any time. Therefore onr should be a Conservative on this score always. One should not play with the feelings of others. Here in this Ram Madhav, All India General Secretary of BJP has played with the feelings of Jammuites . Those were the people of Jammu region who gave the mandate to the BJP leaders who came as victorious candidates (25 elected MLAs) in the JK Legislative Assembly elections 2014.But on the contrary, BJP Ministers in 'NASHA'of power out rightly ignored them and failed like any thing in protecting their rights and the privileges while remaining in power in the Coalition Government led by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti since + 3 years.
BJP Ministers have not discharged their duties faithfully in favour of Jammuites but for the lust of power , they acted as the subordinates of their counterpart in PDP and have treated them as their superiors at the cost of the Jammuites . Very important issues like WP/POJK Refugees, Tawi Lake Project,Setting up of AIIMS, Regularization of Daily wagers / Anganwari workers , +2 Lecturers etc. etc. not resolved as yet which atre going detrimental to the interests of the Jammuites . A sort of strong resentment in the minds of the Jammuites which may attain the volcanic stage for the initiation of a big struggle in shape of an agitation like Amarnath row - 2008. Right from the Mir Qasim's Rule in Jammu & Kashmir up to Omar Abdullah's Rule, Jammu, remained as the victim ( throughout )of the discrimination at the hands of the Kashmiri Rulers of the time in the state. But the height of the prevailing situation is that it has reached the peak during the Mehbooba's Rule in the state. In every field of life , Recruitments , Professional seats , Regularization of DWs, various development projects etc . etc. Jammu is lagging behind as compared to Kashmir region. Daily wagers of Kashmir region are being paid in excess of those of Jammu region . An arbitrary approach by the State government . This is deplorable. Pendency of these issue has led to the brewing of total resentment among the Jammuites against BJP leaders ands its ministers. It is for them to mitigate the sufferings of the Jammuites at the earliest possible. When one draws a comparison between BJP Ministers and PDP Ministers in respect of their abilities and competence , he / she comes to this conclusion that PDP ministers maintain an edge over their counterparts in BJP In fact , BJP Ministers are not up to the mark rather under average . Their performance during the period under review remained below the average (i.e. 4 marks out of 10) which is a set back to the Coalition Government . For the lust and by sticking to the power which they got for the first time in the Parliamentary Democracy in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, BJP Ministers are playing the double role in respect of Article 370 and article 35A of the Indian Constitution which need immediate attention of the readers on top priority . Actually ther are not deceiving the masses particularly but they are deceiving themselves at the cost of the nation also and ultimately they will reach at the stage from where no return would be possible. This is very much appreciable that for the first time during Coailition Government in the state, BJP Ministers spoke strongly in opposing the proposal of Rehabilitation Policy of Militants-2018 which was presented in the State Cabinet meeting held at Jammu on March 20. With the result it was blocked for some time but one thing is there that a day will come when the CM Mehbooba Mufti would be successful in getting through this policy from the State Cabinet. Still time is there for improving upon the performance and promptly they should take the issues of Jammuites and bring them to th logical conclusion without wasting further time . If they will not open their eyes and satisfy the aspiration of Jammuites , it is 100%clear that in the coming Assembly elections , they will draw a big zero for which they themselves would be held responsible. Presently the Coalition Government is working but on Decadron only as the faces of the PDP Ministers and BJP ministers on the opposite sides and in the Civil Secretariat only routine files are being disposed off as the Cabinet Ministers are not giving the much time in devising the new strategies and planning based upon the new technology which will go a long way in carrying out the overall development of the state as a whole . funding is no problem for the state as the Union Government is liberal on this score . Great resentment is brewing in Jammu against the BJP MLAs and the Ministers as they have compromised fully with PDP in all respects at the cost of Jammuites. . Discrimination with Jammu is at the peak these days and problems of Jammu region are not redressed properly by the Coalition Government and the people of Jammu region are suffering a lot in respect the recruitments being made by the J&K PSC / J&K SSB and other autonomous bodies of the state . Jammu youth are passing their lives under strains and sleepness nights. Also important to state here that based upon the Agenda of Alliance (AOA) the Coalition Government of PDP and BJP was formed and till date , there is a negligible achievement on this score . AOA has not been implemented by the Coalition Government in the right earnest . It remained only a dream which was seen by late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed in the year 2015 and had a major decision to join hands with the saffron party dominated and controlled by the RSS. Kashmir is already on fire due to ongoing militant activities and encounters between the terrorists and the security forces. Jammu region also these days is on fire as almost all the opposition political partiesare raising their voices against the Coalition Government led by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and demand the dismissal of her government from the Governor N.N Vohra as the same has failed on all the fronts. People are totally fed up with it . Nowshera , Sunderbani, Rajouri, Kalakote etc.etc. are observing bandhs these days and the unrest prevailing at the moment there is the talk of the day where people of these regions have come out from their houses and started the struggle for the demand of District status for Nowshera . Similar demand has cropped for Ramnagar also where people are planning to struggle for the District status . Kathua region is not safe due to the ongoing agitation regarding Rassana rape and murder case since more than one month . Instead of crime branch probe, people of the region are demanding CBI probe in the matter which the government is not accepting the same . For the lust of power BJP Ministers instead of solving the grave problems of the people, they are sticking to their chairs and don't want to leave the power at any cost. Hell with the Jammuites, they are least concerned. By hook or crook they intend to complete the term of 6 years of power under the supremacy of PDP.
BJP, while remaining in power, instead of gaining the strength in Jammu and Kashmir, it is loosing its creditability like anything as the people at large in the state have rejected them as their representatives . Increasing in the resentment is dangerous for it in the days to come . Not only this , The people of Nowshera alleged that the ruling BJP leadership has adopted the duplicity in the working whereas the elected representatives ( MLAs from Rajouri District )are totally abstaining / distancing themselves from the ongoing agitation for demanding the District syatus for Nowshera as it remained their long pending demand. MLA Nowshera Ravinder Raina 's whereabouts are known to anyone and in these days of struggle , they alleged and have demanded that he should come within them in support of their demand for granting the status of a District . An embarrassing situation in Nowshera , Sunderbani and Kalakote has erupted as their elected MLA s are totally missing these days from the scene and have totally failed to satisfy the aspirations of the people of the region . Pertinent to mention here that BJP Minister Abdul Ghani Kohli had to face the mob when he reached at Kalakote on Monday for the inauguration of the office of the recently appointed Additional Deputy Commissioner. The mob gathered over there made the protest and raised anti - BJP slogans strongly and described that BJP has betrayed them. |
