| Martyr Dheeraj Kohli remembered | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 30: A commemoration ceremony was organised at Shaheed Dheeraj Kohli Samarak, Maheshpura Chowk Jammu to remember martyr Dheeraj Kohli by the social group Child Care Society.
According to press release, the programme was organized under the chairmanship of Karandeep Singh Lucky. Martyr Dheeraj Kohli was a Head Constable in JKP who sacrificed his life for the nation on 30th March 2002 while fighting the militants during the attack on Shri Raghunath Ji Temple Jammu.
Various Police officers and large number of civilians paid rich tributes to the martyr. SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta,IPS while paying tributes to the martyr assured his family of all the possible help. He also urged the youth to take a positive and constructive role in the society which will be the real tribute to the martyr.
Chairman Child Care society, Karandeep Singh Lucky said that the act of bravery done by the martyr shall never be forgotten and Child Care society salutes his supreme sacrifice for the people and nation.
Family memebers of the martyr including his Mother Raj Rani kohli, wife Smt jyoti Kohli, son CHAHAT Kohli and brothers Narinder Kohli & Sanjeev Kohli were also present.
Later a bhandara was also organised. |
