| Drug peddler held with 400 grams Charas | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 30: In continuation to operation 'Sanjeevani', a special drive against drugs launched by Jammu Police a success was achieved by Panjtirthi Police when one person was apprehended alongwith 400 grams Charas.
Police spokesman said that today police party of Panjtirthi Police Post headed by in-charge police post SI Ajay Kumar Engotra while on Naka duty at Circular Road, signalled one Tavera Car for police check.
"On seeing the police one passenger tried to flee away from the spot along with his bag. On this police team chased and intercepted him", said spokesman adding that during the search of his bag 14 challies of charas weighing 400 grams recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case under FIR No.46/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Pacca Danga police station and further investigation of case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made by under the guidance of SHO Pacca Danga, SI Dheeraj Nagpal under the supervision of SDPO City North and SP City North Jammu. |
