| St. Peter's Catholic Church celebrate Good Friday | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 30: St. Peter's Catholic Church, Premnagar today celebrated the Good Friday with an impressive Procession taken out by the members of the Catholic Community.
The procession, which was full of religious gaiety and fervor, started from shaheedi chowk through residency road and culminated at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Premnagar. It depicted the final Journey of Jesus Christ to the mount Calvary in Jerusalem where he was crucified two thousand years ago. This journey was enacted by Sumit Teji of Premnagar.
The important scenes from the Bible regarding the Crucifixion of Jesus were presented in the form of tableaux during the procession.
Good Friday is observed on the Friday before Easter Sunday. |
