Seimar on "Causes & Evils of Drugs Abuse" organised

Jammu, Mar 30: A seminar on anti-drug awareness was organized by Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura at its campus. According to press release, Dr. Ashitya Mariya, Drug Safety Physician and Dr. Ria Chabra, Drug Safety Physician from Parexel International were the guests & speakers on the occasion.
Students of LL.B, BA-LL.B, MBA, BBA, BCA etc participated in the seminar.
Dr. Ashitya Mariya while addressing the students said that children and adolescents who use drugs are often affected by vulnerabilities beyond their control such as poverty and exposure to violence, growing up in homes with a history of substance abuse, and peer pressure. Dr. Ria Chabra talked about the serious consequences of Drug Addiction on the individual, family and the society. Prof. B.S Sidhu, Director, Aryans Group said that the problem of Drug Addiction is required to be addressed very seriously and effectively and all the stakeholders need to contribute their efforts in this regard. He urged the youth to work in unison to uproot this evil from the society. Sidhu added that the youth who have taken to drugs should not be ostracized; instead a loving approach can pull them out of this quagmire of drugs.
Dr. Raman Rani Gupta, Director, Academics; Dr. T.L Kaushal, Director, Aryans Business School; Mrs Monika Rana, HOD, Management Department etc were also present on the occasion.
