| Kalai bridge still awaits completion after 90% of work ! | | |  Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Apr 2: Under the shadow of so-called good governance of Union government, the Kalai motorable bridge is still waiting its completion. According to the sources the construction work of Kalai bridge has been started after flood in 2014, which is going on with snails pace .Sources further informed that the work of bridge is going on under the supervision of India's popular agency GREF which has failed to complete the bridge after spending crores of rupees during long period of four years. The said bridge is complete by 90% however only few yards needs to be constructed which has led to the suffering ,locals further informed. The old steel bridge is not safer to move heavy vehicles due to which people are suffering a lot and showed their apprehension as vehicles of Mandi to Surankote and Mandi to Jammu has to take route via Poonch town. Roads from both the corners of the bridge are dilapidated which creates traffic jams . Locals including Jougal Kishore, Ajaz Katarya, Mohd Afzal and many other have demanded for early completion of said bridge to put an end to the sufferings of local populace. |
