On Sunday, the Army and the J&K police scored a great victory when they killed 12 terrorists in Shopian district of Kashmir. It was the biggest ever operation in 10 years. And now reports from New Delhi suggest that are also after “jornalists”, who allegedly have links with Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba and Pakistani spy agency Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI). “Traitors have no place to hide. Indian intelligence agencies have unearthed that many Srinagar based journalists are in regular touch with the terror outfit Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT) leaders and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) officers in Pakistan. The intelligence sleuths came across these sensitive details after tracking down the Pakistancalls of Muzaffar Khan, the Editor in Chief of Sade-e-Kehkashan”. Report said: “Apart from acting as a journalist, Khan also runs many Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and holds many positions namely – Founder Chairman, All J&K Peoples Welfare Organization, Chairman, International Commission for Human Rights (India), Chairman, International Peace Committee for Inter-Faith (India), Chairman, Youth & Child Welfare Society India and Founder Member, Kashmir Handicraft Manufacturers and Exporters”. As per intelligence officials, “Muzaffar Khan is a key player in the Kashmiri Media-ISI-Separatist nexus”; “he is behind many outrages creation and pro-Pakistan sentiments in the troubled valley” and “Khan is engaging a battery of journalists for these purposes” This was what an Intelligence Bureau official, who tracked his phones and communication methods, revealed. Khan’s own call records said: “He was in regular touch with terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) leader Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi’s Personal Assistant and ISI’s Col. Tanveer. He was in regular touch with many Pakistan journalists to pass information and also in touch with all separatist leaders in Kashmir including Shabir Shah, Yaseen Malik, and Asiya Andrabi. Khan is believed to be the major information collection point or touch base of many Indian journalists also”. According to a report, “Intelligence sleuths have already shared their findings with National Investigation Agency (NIA) after finding many dubious money trails to his series of NGOs”.
