Poonch, Apr 2: The education system has deteriorated in Poonch under Altaf Ahmed Bukhari, the Education Minister.
The locals of Lonewala in village Arai Malkan of Mandi tehsil Primary School Lohin , which was established before eight (8) years is yet to open due to negligence of education department.
According to locals there are three teachers, one cook belonging to the same family and government has plans to appoint 5th from same family as class (vi) in same school. They further informed that "their children have no future."
In this regard, locals have approached Zonal Education Officer Mandi Ghulam Hussain who visited the spot and found the school closed.
Locals further informed that the children are not aware of "Mid Day Meel" as the cooks have not opened the kitchen till now. They said, "they have approached CEO Poonch many a time, but some influencial employees do not give factual report till now. Locals have demanded an enquiry into functioning of this school. |
