Prof Gupta for maximum vigil in state | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 2: Commenting upon the increased activities of militants along border areas, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta said the hostile neighbour was never for peace and tranquility but for some time past is showing the signs of some bigger trouble. The recent infiltration of heavily armed Fidayeens in Sunderbani area and earlier an attack of the terrorists on a Camp of the forces at Sunjwan in outskirts of the Capital city of Jammu indicate more to the designs than meets the eyes evidently to spread and escalate the problems. As far as the troubled Valley is concerned the enemy has done great harm to various aspects of life, both in terms of blood and economy, the agents of destruction are still active to carry forward their trade to damage the tourist season as also to add to the sufferings of the common man. But it is good that the police and other forces have launched the operation "all out". All this needed the greater cooperation of all including the local administration and of those in public life who aspire peace and welfare of the common masses, he added. |
