Poonch, Apr 6: A middle school at village Danna of loran block in Poonch district runs in a damaged structure and lacks basic facilities.
The villagers have accused the local leadership, a former VC of the Gujjar and Bakerwal advisory board, MLA, MLC and a Congress leader of failing the villagers.
The workers of JK Insaaf movement met today and accused the leader of dividing people on the basis of caste and creed. The workers also expressed dismay over the apathy of the education department. The department, according to them, provided material for construction of two room structure but the material was stolen as the department failed start work ont he structure.
They said two hundred students were suffering for want of classrooms and other facilities. "They sit under the scorching sun in summer and in rainy season, the school declares holidays. This has adversely affected the quality of education in the area," they said.
They demanded a proper building for the school as soon as possible. |
