Farooq's changed sermon for people of Kashmir
4/6/2018 11:07:17 PM
Only Kashmiri politicians who keep on changing his ideas and ideology is none other than Dr Farooq Abdullah. In fact,of late,he has earned the distinction of being a butterfly fluttering its wings from one flower to another. The case is similar to Dr Farooq Abdullah who ,when he is in power, swears by the name of India and once out of power he may either issue a sermon on pro-Pakistan feelings or sermonises on the benefits of Azadi.Well if he supports that people in Jammu and Kashmir will remain better once Azadi is granted to them why then there is need for discussing the Kashmir issue with Pakistan ?If Farooq Abdullah talks loud about Azadi why should he campaign for reopening of Indo_Pakistan talks. Well as an opposition party leader Farooq is supposed to vice support to people as far as their dreams and wishes are concerned. So that he is able to regain power by strengthening his vote bank.Well if he issues a sermon that for people of Kashmir Azadi is better than accord with Pakistan does he think that he is wooing the separatists, militants and other pro-Pakistan elements? Certainly not because separatists, militants and their supporters wish to get incorporated with Pakistan.Hence wishing his vote bank to get strengthened support for Azadi may not be the answer. Opposition National Conference (NC) President Faroooq Abdullah has said the future of Kashmiris intoxicated by 'Azadi' did not lie with Pakistan."People are intoxicated by Azadi," Abdullah said speaking at Substance Abuse Awareness Month (SAAM) programme organised by 'The Inner Call' in collaboration with the Central University of Kashmir (CUK).The three-time chief minister said people of Kashmir cannot go to the country they were dreaming of and that Pakistan was not the future for Kashmiris. Well this time Farooq Abdullah seems to be right in the sense that once People in Kashmir join Pakistan non-Kashmiris may lynch those from Kashmir. And history has indicated that even after creation of Pakistan occupied Kahsmir and those who crossed from Jammu and Kashmir to fashion their dreams were disenchanted when the non-Kashmiris enjoyed the seat of power and pelf.People in Kashmir, who had crossed to occupied Kashmir, felt bitter about their decision. And majority of the migrants rued their decision but had no other alternative but to stay put in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
And when Farooq Abdullah voices anti-India feelings it is an indication of his frustration over the way he and his party have lost power that too to the main political foe in the Kashmir valley and to its old political rival the BJP in the Jammu region.,This frustration of losing power is manifest in his sermon through which he equally criticized India, telling his listeners "We see no future for ourselves, we see darkness, we see a nation changing its colour from a secular India to a Hindu India, and Muslims not only in Kashmir but entire India are feeling the threat that is about to come."However, the NC President expressed hope that the silent majority in India would come to the rescue of Muslims by standing up against those trying to change Indian constitution.Referring to Kashmiri youth picking up guns to join militant ranks, he said, "These boys and the boys in different parts of India don't see if they have a future, and that their future will be safe if they work hard."Suggesting that everyone should collectively take responsibility for the situation Kashmiri youth were caught in, Abdullah said, "We created the situation where we are seeing our youth in trouble."Urging the State to become self-reliant, he said: "When will we stand on our feet and tell India we don't need your help? Until then we will continue to remain slaves. And once the poll bugle is sounded Farooq Abdullah would be the first person to contest the Assembly election and if he is sworn is as chief Minister he may again be a true Indian swearing by God and the constitution of India
