| SKUAST-TAJ delegation call on Governor | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 6: A delegation of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology- Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) called on Govenor NN Vohra and apprised him about their demands.
According to press release, the delegation was led by Dr Vikas Sharma and they urged the chancellor that the proposed Horticulture and Veterinary Universities should not be established by converting the existing Horticulture Centers / Stations and Veterinary Campus of SKUAST-Jammu. He informed that this will paralyse and impede the functioning of the already existing / acclaimed Agricultural University of Jammu division. Dr Sharma further stressed that SKUAST - Jammu is working in its infancy stage and flourishing day by day and there is no need to disturb the status of this only established farm varsity of the region.
Gen. Secretary Dr Vivek Arya, Joint Secretary Dr. P. K. Rai; Treasurer Dr. Rajeev Sangra and Executive Member from Poonch Unit Dr Muneedswar Sharma were also part on the delegation. |
