JKPCC questions Union over treatment to J&K | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 6: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has questioned the Centre Govt. for its failure to treat Jammu and Kashmir at par with the North Eastern States for enhancing the funding pattern to 100 percent. Reacting to the development whereby J&K State has been given a raw deal while enhancing the funding pattern from 90 :10 to 100 percent to eight North East states, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma lashed out at the BJP led Centre Govt. for neglecting the state when it is faced with worst ever situations I the history. It is unfortunate that BJP which is also part of the State Govt. besides ruling at the Centre has failed to ensure the equal treatment to this state like NE. The state of J&K was always given priority treatment by the previous Govt. at the Centre in the matter of these fundings keeping the developmental needs of this border and sensitive state along with NE States. He also regretted that the only a meagre amount of around fifteen thousand crores has been spent as against the announcement of over eighty thousand crores PMDP for the state more than two years ago. This shows the hallow slogans of BJP and centre government towards the developmental and other needs of the state. |
