Vijaypur, Apr 7: The Child Development Programme office Samba has allegedly created a mess in 'Ladli Beti Scheme' as out of 250 approved cases, it denied the benefit of this scheme to first thirty cases.Sources told Early Times that the CDPO Samba seems casual in implementation of "Ladli Beti Scheme" which was launched by State Government for new born girl child of the State born on or after April 1, 2015.
"The main objective of the scheme was to arrest the declining female sex ratio and reduce the financial burden of the girl's parents.
The scheme further intends to ensure that the girl child doesn't become a burden for the parent or guardian at the time of her marriage but in Samba the concerned department has denied the benefits of Ladli Beti Scheme to 30 cases falling in the list of 250 approved cases by the government since 2016," they said.
They alleged that the parents of left out cases have been visiting the office of CDPO Samba on daily basis to know the reason for not allowing the benefits to them despite their approval but every time the officials send them back with no reply saying that they have been executing the order as per instruction only.
"The illogical behavior of the department has aggravated the woes of aspirants. There is no accountability in the department which has failed to redress the problem of genuine people, despite several visits nobody from the department has bothered to pay heed towards this problem," they said. |
