Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 7: State Gurudwara Prabandhak Board (SGPB), J&K, District Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (DGPC) Jammu and various Sikh organizations today jointly staged a peaceful protest here today at Bikram Chowk demanding justice for 1984 Sikh genocide and many other carnages of minority Sikh Community in various parts of India and in J&K in 1984, 1989 & 2000. Sikh leaders and protesters reminded the government that nearly 34 years have passed and minority Sikh Community is still striving for justice, but on the other hand under the similar law of the land, prominent Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been convicted for killing a black buck. Tarlochan Singh Wazir, Chairman SGPB, while addressing the peaceful protest said that today we want to aware the union government and state government that taking care of animals is good but treating the brave Sikh Community worse than animals is shameful for entire humanity and democratic values. Others Sikh leaders including Mohinder Singh (Chief of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal and Member DGPC Jammu), Jagjit Singh (President DGPC Jammu), Avtar Singh Kharsa (General Secretary DGPC Jammu), Kuldeep Singh (Vice President DGPC Jammu), Mohinder Singh (Asst Secy DGPC Jammu) and Manmohan Singh (Treasurer DGPC Jammu) were present on the occasion. |
