Jammu, Apr 7: World Health Day was celebrated at Super Speciality Hospital GMC Jammu, wherein various activities were performed. As a part of "Swachhta Pakhwada", Street play (Nukkad Natak) was performed by GNM students of Bee Enn Nursing Institute which is being performed regularly by the students w.e.f April 1 to April 15, 2018. They conveyed message of cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene to all staff, patients and public at large. This was followed by Rangoli on "World Health Day", which was specially made by the students. Students also had made posters related to the day which were displayed in the conference hall. Later a presentation and speeches were given by various students along with documentaries related to theme and the day. Dr Arun Sharma Medical Superintendent, Dr Deepak Kumar Dy Medical Superintendent, Matron, Nursing Supervisors, Various Incharges, Nurses, Paramedical staff, Technicians and administrative section officials were present on the occasion. The World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as other related organizations. In 1948, the WHO held the First World Health Assembly. The Assembly decided to celebrate 7 April of each year, with effect from 1950, as the World Health Day. |
