Harsh Dev attacks BJP for 'acts of treachery' | | | Early Times Report Ramnagar, Apr 10: Accusing the BJP of having sold its every single slogan for the lust of power, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Minister said that multifarious acts of treachery committed by the Saffron Party in quick succession during its three year rule after its ascendance to power had shocked the conscience of the people particularly its political constituents. He was addressing a massive public rally at Ramnagar Town. Accusing the BJP Ministers and MLAs of dancing to the tunes of PDP, Singh said that the people of Jammu were soaked with the sweat of shame on seeing the Saffron leaders crossing all imaginable limits of sycophancy. He regretted that the BJP failed to understand that its compulsion to collaborate with PDP in administration was required to co-exist with its need to confront its ally over fundamentals. Admonishing the obnoxious incident of Pro-Pak slogans and anti-India slogans raised in the State Assembly during last session, Harsh Dev Singh said that it was for the very first time in the history of J&K Legislature that such treacherous slogans were raised there. He wondered that instead of taking a strong cognizance of the serious incident in the Assembly, the proceedings of the house were allowed to continue as if it were a casual episode. He regretted that it was shocking and painful that Pro-Pak slogans were raised from the 'shrine of democracy' at the time when the operation by the Army at Sunjawan base camp was still going on. Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Balwant Singh Mankotia, State President and Manju Singh, General Secretary. |
