Mehbooba phoned Rajnath, Shah | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 13: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had reportedly spoken to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President Amit Shah on Thursday asking them to "help the state government to come out from the controversy surrounding Kathua rape and murder and presence of BJP Ministers Lal Singh and Chandra Prakash Ganga in rallies there. Sources said after assuring Mehbooba of "not to worry", Amit Shah asked Mehbooba to call Rajnath Singh as well. Sources said the Home Minister equally gave a "positive response." "Positive responses meant that the duo would be shown the door within hours as she was asked not to worry at all," said a senior PDP leader from south Kashmir on the condition of anonymity. Pertinently, the developments took place after CM's Advisor Amitabh Mattoo was sent on a "secret mission" to New Delhi. Source said Mattoo stayed in the national capital for a couple of hours, and met the people who matter. |
