Early Times Report Jammu, April 23: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha in its meeting held today under the chairmanship of Ved Prakash Sharma, its president discussed the situation arising out of the Rasana murder after rape incident. It was expressed by all the members that the people at large are not satisfied with the investigation conducted by crime branch of J&K Police, Jammu. It is general feeling that crime branch and some local officers have let lose a reign of terror by resorting to oppressive measures and thereby creating a sense of insecurity. No one is satisfied with the attitude of the crime branch. Justice can only be done if the investigation is entrusted to CBI, otherwise confidence of people will remain shaken in the police and the Administration resulting into loss of faith in the popularity of the persons in the helms of political setup. It was unanimously adopted to impress upon the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir to handover this case to CBI for investigation and then trial. Among others who were also present on the occasion included V.P Magotra, Satyanand Sharma, Adv. P.C Sharma, Jagan Nath Sharma, Shiv Ram Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Raman Sharma, Sat Pal Sharma, Prem Balotra and many others. |
