| DPS Udhampur organizes awareness rally on safe driving | | | Early Times Report
udhampur, Apr 23: In a bid to raise awareness about safe driving, students of DPS Udhampur in large numbers took out a rally, organized here on Monday by ARTO Udhampur. The awareness rally that commenced near DC Office Udhampur was flagged off by DC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar(IAS) and ARTO Udhampur Kuldeep Singh.
The rally was taken out as part of the Action Plan Activity of 29th Road Safety week celebrations with the theme of "Sadak Swarksh Jeevan Raksha". The participant reached out to the public and campaigned on road safely. The campaigners carried placards highlighting the importance of road safety and fatal risks caused by vehicles. Prime attraction of the rally was team of the students carrying placards, Skates and a special Nukkad Natak conducted on the same theme by the students with fervor and enthusiasm. The main purpose of this Road show was to throw light on importance of 'safety rules'. In the campaign the students created awareness by raising motivational slogans. The DC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar (IAS) was mesmerized to see the keen initiative taken by the school. The charismatic students of DPS,Udhampur nailed purpose of this rally. Dr. J.C Gupta Pro-Vice Chairman of the school said their efforts were not going to be futile and it would make a difference in thousands of lives. Principal of the school Dr. Kunal Anand said that more than 1 lakh people lose their lives in accident every year such rallies can prove really beneficial. He lauded the effort put in by students. |
