DAHWA begins identification, selection under Nai Roshani | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 23: The Destitute and Handicapped Welfare Association (DAHWA) today visited Sail Kori Bair and adjoining villages to conduct a survey of minority/rural women for their identification and selection under Nai Roshani scheme of Ministry for Minority Affairs for Leadership Development of minority women. Pertinently, the Government of India has empanelled DAHWA organization for imparting Leadership Development training to these deserving women of rural and far off areas. The association has already conducted this training under Nai Roshani and has also completed handholding and nurturing part of the scheme for the trained women who are now representing their issues at different administrative levels for redressal. The DAHWA team, led by its Chairman S.S.Sumbria, with former Sarpanch Prem Chand, Guru Parkash, Shiv Ram, P.C.Basotra and others as its members, visited various villages and held interaction sessions with the women supposed to be covered under the Scheme. The participating women evinced keen interest in the training programme and were enthusiastic about the beginning of the training. |
