Court rejects bail of two fraudsters | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 28: Sub-Judge Jammu Kusoom Pandita has rejected the bail application of two fraudsters who were arrested by the Crime Branch Jammu. Rejecting the bail applications of Bilal Ahmed Wani and Bilal Ahmed Padder, Sub-Judge Jammu after hearing Advocate Atul Raina for the applicant whereas Senior PO Puja Nijhon for the state observed that accused have allegedly committed offences u/s 420, 465, 467, 468, 471,120-B RPC. "As per police report accused Sunil Kumar along with other co-accused prepared fake NOC of different financing companies and Banks after obtaining huge loans for purchase of vehicles and purchased different types of vehicles against the loans acquired from different financing companies/ bank and soon after purchasing the vehicles against loan fraudulently acquired by the accused the accused used to prepare lake NOCs in order to sell vehicle financed by financing company caused huge losses to financing companies and banks by means of cheating and forgery so as to earn benefit/gain themselves," the judge observed. The judge said that as per police report, applicants, accused herein Wani and Padder are also involved in sale purchase of vehicle, the hypothecation of which has been fraudulently removed and the documents of vehicles as well as engine and chassis number fitted in the vehicle have been tampered in order to sell these vehicle to some innocent persons after preparing fake documents. "The accused were spotted in Sidhra Jammu plying vehicle bearing No. HR61C-0993 and were asked to produce the documents, but the accused failed to produce the document or any other record pertaining to vehicle. On this, both accused were arrested. The prosecution has contravened the application inter alia on the grounds that accused are involved in very serious offences and in case, accused are granted bail at this stage, it will hamper the investigation," the judge observed. The judge further observed that since the investigation of the is at crucial stage and verification of the documents has not been obtained from RTO as yet and moreover, the offence U/S 467 RPC carries imprisonment for life. With these observations Court rejected the bail application. |
