Mendhar, Apr 28: police today seized three vehicles loaded with 14 bovines which were being smuggled to Kashmir via Mendhar surankote Road of Poonch district last night. Official sources said that a police party from Mendhar Police Station, led by SHO Mohd Amin under the supervision of SSP Poonch Rajiv pandey raised nakas at Ari locations in Mendhar area during last night. They found total 14 bovine animals being smuggled in three Tata Mobile vehicles bearing registration numbers- JK-12A- 9365, JK-12-1129 and JK-05-7738. The Police seized all the three vehicles and arrested all the drivers smuggling these cattle to Kashmir via mendhar surankote Road. They were identified as Mohd Ikhlaq, Mohd Khushal and Naseer Ahmed, all residents of Bhera and Bhatidhar in Mendhar. Police registered a case under FIR 64/2018 in this connection. |
