LTEMS organises Road Safety Awareness Programme

Kathua, Apr 28: Learning Temple English Medium School (LTEMS) organized a "Road Safety Awareness Program" today in School premises here in which the students, parents and other VIP's remained present. The Program was chaired and inaugurated by R.T.O., Kathua Pardeep Singh, Chief Education Officer Kathua and Nirmal Choudhary. An Exhibition was also stalled in which many self-made models of Vehicles & Charts were displayed. The students of 9th & 10th class beautifully explained the importance of Safety on the Road, Light Signals, Seat Belts, Helmets etc. to the VIPs and the visitors. Pardeep Singh, RTO, Kathua in his address told that about 1.5 Lakh persons die of accidents every year in India, many of which can be saved if the drivers and all adults are a little bit careful in observing the Road Safety rules.
In his speech, Chief Education Officer also appreciated the efforts and Learning Temple School for doing something new every time. He also threw light on the loss of lives due to accidents which often occur due to the carelessness of the drivers. He wished that such awareness should be provided to the public at large in the City also. Er. Naresh Kumar, Chairman of the School proposed Vote of Thanks to the VIPs and the other participants for sparing time to attend this Awareness Program.
