Jammu, Apr 28: A four days workshop organized by Regional Academy of Broadcasting and Multimedia AIR Lucknow at Radio Kashmir Jammu office, on planning and production of Women and Children Programme concluded today. Programme Producers of All India Radio and Doordarshan who came here from different parts of country, Stations like Shillong, Obra, Patna, Dehradun, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Bareilly, Agra, Darbanga, Jhansi, Jammu, participated in the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to explore more innovative formats for production and planning of Women And Childrens programme ,enable them to share their work experience with each other on round table discussions being the part of largest broadcasting network of India Nayeema Mahzoor, Chairperson, J&K State Women Commission, as chief guest, inaugurated the workshop and emphasised on the significance of AIR and DD in fast growing complex society. Anjali Sharma Station Director Radio Kashmir Jammu as local coordinator said that the sole motive of workshop and programme is how to save children from falling prey in the hands of anti social element. Therefore, this workshop is dedicated to little girl Asifa, the daughter of Jammu and to the other children, like her, because Radio has its role to play and can educate women and children though programming. In the past also RKJ has always played a very significant role as public service broadcaster. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi, Director I/C RABM (P)AIR Lukhnow, course coordinator while speaking on the occasion in his vote of thanks, he highlighted activities of RABM and thanked Chairperson for sharing her experiences and sparing her valuable time for the inauguration of national level workshop. |
